UZC Teams Up with Starbucks to Redefine Coffee Culture Through Interactive Merchandise​

UZC has collaborated with Starbucks to debut BrewCraft, a line of smart merchandise that transforms daily coffee rituals into immersive experiences. Designed by product designer Priya Kapoor, the collection includes a Wi-Fi-enabled French press that adjusts brewing temperature based on user preferences stored in Starbucks’ app. Each purchase unlocks access to exclusive roasting sessions hosted by Starbucks’ master baristas via augmented reality.

Kapoor’s standout creation, the “Memory Mug,” uses thermochromic glaze to visualize brewing time and temperature, while an embedded speaker plays curated audio tracks tied to the drink’s origin story. The line also features compostable packaging embedded with NFC tags that share sustainability milestones, like carbon reduction stats, when scanned.

Starbucks’ Global Merchandising Lead stated: “Priya’s designs make coffee culture tangible. This partnership bridges craftsmanship with technology in a way that deepens customer connection.” The collection launches in Starbucks Reserve locations, with a portion of sales supporting coffee farmer education programs in Colombia and Ethiopia.
