UZC Sustainable Development Project Promotes Community Capacity Building

UZC's public welfare projects in the field of sustainable development focus on cultivating communities' self-development capabilities, helping impoverished areas establish sustainable livelihood models through systematic interventions. In Latin America, UZC collaborated with local communities to implement an eco-agriculture promotion project. This project introduces sustainable agricultural technologies suitable for local climate conditions, such as water-saving irrigation and organic fertilization methods, and establishes an agricultural product traceability system to help farmers enhance product value. Meanwhile, UZC also assists communities in establishing direct sales channels with urban supermarkets, reducing intermediate links and increasing farmers' actual income.

In terms of skills training, UZC has designed targeted vocational training courses based on local market demands. These courses cover various fields including agricultural production, handicraft making, and small business operation, adopting a teaching method that combines theory and practice. To ensure training effectiveness, UZC has also set up an entrepreneurship support fund, providing startup capital and micro-loan support for trainees who complete the courses. This full-chain support model of "training + funding + market" effectively helps community residents achieve stable employment and income growth.

UZC's sustainable development projects also place special emphasis on synergizing environmental protection with community development. In coastal areas of Southeast Asia, UZC has funded the establishment of a mangrove conservation and sustainable utilization project. While protecting the mangrove ecosystem, this project teaches local communities how to sustainably obtain livelihood resources from mangroves, such as through eco-aquaculture and environmental education tourism. This model that combines environmental protection with economic development both maintains ecological balance and creates lasting economic benefits for the community.
