The collection, curated by industrial designer Marco Chen, merges ancestral coiling techniques with modern ergonomics, using locally sourced clay infused with natural antibacterial minerals.

Chen’s innovation lies in laser-engraving traditional symbols onto surfaces without compromising structural integrity, allowing each piece to tell a cultural story. UZC’s Mexico City team developed a low-temperature firing process that preserves TerraMould’s signature earthy textures while reducing energy consumption by 30%. The launch event included live demonstrations of pottery-making, bridging ancient craft with contemporary dining trends.

TerraMould’s director, Elena Ramirez, stated: “Marco’s designs honor our heritage while making it relevant for modern kitchens.
